Which lists the AJK High Court publishes
Daily cause list
The list of cases fixed before each judge or bench for a working day. Most High Courts publish one list per seat per day, arranged by court and serial number. Open the Cause Lists section from the menu on the court's homepage and pick the date and seat you need.
Supplementary and urgent additions
Cases added after the daily list was prepared: fresh petitions, matters fixed on an application for early hearing, or cases moved from another date. Most High Courts issue these as a separate supplementary or urgent list, published later than the main list. Check the site for whether they appear as a separate document or at the end of the daily list.
Circuit bench lists
Lists for the Mirpur, Kotli and Rawalakot circuit benches. The site has pages for the circuit benches, and a list for a circuit sitting may be posted with the main list or on those pages. Look in both places until you know where the court puts them.
When the lists are published
Lists are usually published the working day before and can be revised. Treat a list downloaded in the afternoon as provisional, and re-check the site before you leave for court, because cases are added and moved between benches until the list is final.
Circuit benches sit on fixed dates rather than every working day, so note the sitting dates as well as the list. Because the site could not be reached during our checks, this page does not state a publication time; check the site, and if it is down, the court office at the seat concerned is the fallback.

The court's website is ajkhighcourt.gok.pk. Open the Cause Lists section from the site's menu; the same menu has Case Status, Certified Copy Status and Judgments. The site also has pages for the circuit benches at Mirpur and Kotli; if a list for a circuit sitting is not on the main cause list page, look there. A list forwarded on WhatsApp is a copy of uncertain age. If there is any doubt, the court's own site or office is the record.
How to search by advocate name or case number
- Open ajkhighcourt.gok.pk and choose Cause Lists from the menu.
- Pick the seat (Muzaffarabad or a circuit bench) and the hearing date. If the page offers a list per judge or bench, open each bench you appear before.
- Find your cases. If the page has a search box, try the case number first, then the party names. If it offers a download, open the PDF and use your reader's find function with the case number, your own name and the client's name in turn.
- Check for a supplementary or urgent list for the same date, either as a separate document or as entries at the end of the daily list. For a circuit bench case, confirm the sitting date on the circuit bench page too.
- Note the serial number, bench and stage for each case in your diary, and re-check the site the evening before the hearing.
How to read a row

Common mistakes
- Checking the daily list but not the supplementary or urgent additions for the same date.
- Assuming the list is final in the afternoon. Lists are revised until the evening before, and sometimes on the morning of the hearing.
- Searching a PDF by name alone. Names are spelt differently across filings; search by case number and by the client's name too.
- Forgetting that circuit benches sit on fixed dates. A case at Mirpur, Kotli or Rawalakot is listed for the sitting, not for any working day.
- Treating the AJK High Court like a High Court in Pakistan for appeal purposes. Azad Jammu and Kashmir has its own Supreme Court, and appeals from the AJK High Court go there, not to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
